Engineering @365 are proud to be supporting one of the UK's longest-standing names in electrical manufacturing, on the lookout for two Electrical Design Engineers to join their expanding team in Leicester. With over 100 years in the industry and major growth driving this hire, this is your chance to join a high-integrity engineering firm building kit used in energy, automation, marine, rail and more.

About the Role

You'll join a tight-knit engineering team, taking ownership of full-cycle design — from requirements and calculations through to manufacturing drawings and technical support.

* The Design Engineer will work across a wide variety of resistor-based projects.

* The Senior Design Engineer will focus more on machinery design and lead higher-level technical work.

What You'll Be Doing

* Produce design calculations and documentation for manufacturing

* Select electrical components and systems

* Create 3D CAD models (sheet metal focus) using Autodesk Inventor

* Approve drawings, BOMs and ECNs

* Investigate faults, support root cause analysis and continuous improvement

* Collaborate closely with production, sales and service teams

* Work with CE marking and DFMEA standards

* Participate in R&D, product testing, and standards development

What You'll Need

Essential

* Solid electrical design experience

* Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering

* Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD proficiency

* Familiarity with CE, DFMEA, and design standards

* Confident using Excel

* Collaborative, hands-on and solutions-focused mindset

Desirable

* Mechanical knowledge (fabrication, materials, FEA etc.)

* MV/HV design or testing experience
