Mains Laying Trainer and Assessor Location: Peterborough (with travel required)Salary: £35,000 to £45,000Benefits: 31 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension scheme, car allowance £4,800About the RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional from the water industry to join our team as a Mains Laying Trainer and Assessor With your background in mains and service laying, repairs, or maintenance, you will bring practical knowledge and a passion for developing others. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys sharing their expertise, engaging with people at all levels, and supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals.You will be based in our Peterborough office but will travel to different sites to deliver training and carry out assessments.What You'll DoIn this role, you will:* Deliver high-quality training programmes to a wide range of learners, including apprentices.* Design and build engaging training materials aligned to learning objectives and industry standards.* Assess learners both in-centre and in the workplace.* Ensure best practice through the standardisation of training and assessment.* Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners succeed.* Collaborate with internal quality assurers and colleagues to maintain consistency.* Aim to achieve and maintain an individual utilisation rate of 80%.About YouWe're looking for someone who is:* A confident communicator with strong coaching and facilitation skills.* Organised and adaptable, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.* Experienced in designing and delivering training programmes.* Competent in using digital tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and email.* Passionate about quality, learning, and professional development.Essential Requirements* Relevant water industry qualifications.* Strong understanding and application of health and safety.* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.* A full UK driving licence.Desirable (but not essential)* D32/D33, A1, or TAQA (or equivalent assessor qualification).* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).* Experience designing and delivering training materials.* Experience delivering qualifications or apprenticeship programmes.??
