Do you have what it takes to be a Licenced Security Officer / Emergency Response with Securitas? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Plant Protection Security Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent contract at one of the UK's leading car manufacturers in Luton.
The role of security officer is to provide a security service at the working location, which is in line with the Assignment Instructions in order to protect their employees, property and other assets.
You will also have a fantastic opportunity to be trained as an onsite first aider, insipient fire fighter and confined space rescuer.
You will be part of the Emergency Response Crew, who will attend incidents that happen on the site, To be considered for this position, you must have both an SIA Licence and a full and clean driving licence, Without these two qualifications you will not be considered for an interview.

Although demanding, a security officer role with Securitas will allow you to demonstrate your exemplary customer service skills as you engage with customers, clients and visitor throughout each shift, whilst remaining alert to security issues and keeping everyone safe.
The main duties and responsibilities of the security officer are to patrol the site and its perimeter to prevent and deter unauthorised access, the prevention of any fires by vigilant patrolling, checking of all fire related deterrents such as extinguishers and sprinkler systems, monitor fire alarms and CCTV and safety observation tours.
You will be carrying out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate and managing keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
You will be ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times and record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to supervisor/manager whilst reporting / recording all accidents in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

You will be conducting external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions and oversee traffic controls and apply parking restrictions as required.
You will be carrying out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate and managing keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
You will also be trained to how to use the Fire Appliance and how to combat all the different kinds of fire incidents and emergencies that could happen onsite at any given moment.
A key element of this position will be to attaned medical emergencies onsite when required.
You will be ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times and record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to supervisor/manager whilst reporting / recording all accidents in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
There is an element of loss and waste prevention where you will be reporting any instances of property being lost, stolen, damaged and/or vandalised.
During all duties you will display the highest standard of personal presentation and smartness of uniform to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer.
Essential Skills To work with us you will need to be confident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written language.
You will need to be able to get to different sites as required, so either have your own transport or be in an area with good public transport links.
Our team need to be immaculately turned out, polite and proactive when engaging with customers to ensure a complete customer experience is provided, as we aim to maintain our outstanding reputation for excellence.
Desirable Skills Security experience Excellent customer service skills Basic knowledge of computers Medical or fire experience would be desirable, however not a necessity as you will be trained on these skills before you start.
