Essential Requirements- Minimum 2 years’ management experience in children’s residential care
- Registered Manager experience, or strong Deputy ready to step up
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children’s) or working towards
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
- Compassionate, resilient leadership with strong communication and organisational skills
The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to launch and manage a brand-new 3-bed children’s home for young people aged 12–18 with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
You will:
- Lead the opening and daily operations of the service
- Create a safe, trauma-informed, therapeutic environment
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards
- Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and care planning
- Supervise and develop a high-performing care team
- Build positive relationships with families and professionals
- Work alongside a Consultant Psychotherapist (1.5 days per month)
