Lecturer in Business - Location: Walthamstow

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Business to join our Business & Accounting Department. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching and inspiring students across a range of curriculum areas, aiming to maximise their success. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering dynamic learning programmes, ensuring high standards of education and achievement.
Day-to-day of the role: - Develop and deliver dynamic learning programmes using a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Plan, design, and facilitate learning sessions in line with course objectives, assessment modes, and accreditation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programmes and sessions, continuously improving your own teaching practices.
- Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the College.
- Promote high standards in customer care, equal opportunities, and health and safety practices.
- Engage in activities that support the recruitment and enrolment of learners, ensuring their needs are assessed and met throughout their study programme.
- Maintain a safe learning environment, promoting fundamental British values and supporting learners in their academic and pastoral needs.
- Assess and provide feedback on learners’ work, championing the College’s strategy for Maths and English.
- Manage and lead a course or programme, liaising with support functions, external agencies, and parents to ensure learners' progress effectively.
- Utilise programme data to manage courses effectively and deliver information, advice, and guidance to support learners’ decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Degree level education or a relevant occupational qualification in Business.
- A teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards obtaining one.
- Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning or relevant industry experience.
- Strong ability to inspire and engage learners, with a passion for teaching and learning.
- Experience in promoting and embedding inclusive learning, widening participation, and equal opportunities, including British values.
- Organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage continuous quality improvement
