SQL Analyst provides financial reporting and analysis support to the Inventory Management team. The Analyst must be detail oriented and experienced in working in a team environment. The position requires exemplary analytical, modeling, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and complete assignments with minimal supervision. This role computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties. Assists the Inventory Management department in the receipt, investigation and resolution of accounts in need of further investigation. Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Review post-sales support requests from various internal departments submitted through internal systems and use independent judgement to make decisions Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records Utilizing SQL and MS Access to compile and analyze data. Use data to prepare, track, and summarize account and financial trends. Submit post-sales support filesrequests to sellers per a defined schedule Responsible for ensuring putbacks are pre-reviewed before submission Receive, record and process incoming seller reimbursements for the repurchase of accounts Receive, record and process incoming direct pay remittances from sellers Responsible for maintaining the timeliness of designated sellerrsquos email, phone and mail correspondence Run necessary reports and analyze as directed by management Maintain active relationships and communications with Acquisitions department for each seller Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility Analyze and research assigned accounts as necessary Record and process research performed Determine the appropriate account classification based on research Update the account via internal system Partner with internal departments to research accounts Electronically file all documentation per policy and procedure WriteModify department procedures andor job aids as needed Ensuring that procedures are carried out carefully and accurately to eliminate findings Obtain account information and account verification from seller of the account. Serve as liaison between Inventory Management and internal departments on research accounts provide information as required to appropriate parties. Receive, analyze and process SIF Recon from 3rd parties Successfully interpret data in order to draw conclusions for managerial action and strategy Present data and conclusions to management in order to improve operations for the team Advanced Duties Run and modify SQL queries to determine accounts in need of research Provide high level analysis of accounts in research queue Conducts audits of research inventory Conducts audits of email handling from 3rd parties Reliable point of contact for sellers and the ability to establish exemplary relations with new sellers as well as maintaining relations with current sellers Attend weekly seller calls and report feedback to management issues and concerns Professional ExperienceQualifications Associatersquos degree in business or accounting required. At least six months of related experience Strong communication skills (written and oral), judgement, and collaboration skills to interact positively across all levels of organization Ability to self-motivate and work independently or with a team Maintain a high level of cognitive function in order to complete multifaceted analysis Able to allocate time effectively, work well under pressure, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, work extended hours as needed while continuing to work at a detailed level Self-aware, reflective and able to learn from mistakes, with an ability to learn quickly while on the job Good written and oral skills Ability to exercise discretion and analyze critical situations and problem solve independently Intermediate skills in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint as well as proficiency with Windows 98 or higher. Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word, SQL is a plus Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office environment, in an individual work station, using telephone and computer.
