Elevation Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturer in Rotherham who are looking to recruit a Junior Assembly Fitter to join their production team. This role would suit someone at the early stages of their engineering career who is looking to get stuck into a hands-on position and develop within a machine build environment.Shift Pattern: Days only shift pattern Salary: £29,000-£31,000 Location: Rotherham

The Role:

• Assemble mechanical components and complete machine builds from the ground up
• Follow technical drawings and build instructions to ensure accuracy
• Support with basic wiring and pneumatic set-ups where required
• Assist in testing equipment and resolving any build issues
• Work alongside experienced engineers to gain exposure across full machine builds
• Use a range of tools and measuring equipment in day-to-day tasks
• Highlight any build or design issues and contribute ideas for improvement
• Keep work areas safe, tidy and organised at all times

About You:

• Completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Naturally practical with a keen interest in how machinery is built and operates
• Comfortable working from engineering drawings
• Some awareness of electrical or pneumatic systems would be beneficial
• Good attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career in engineering
