We are working on behalf of a Private Nursery in the Chesterfield area who are looking to appoint a permanent Level 2 Nursery Practitioners. This is a full time role, working 40 hours a week.

You'll be working in a fantastic, fast paced, busy, private Nursery with pupils aged 0-5. You'll be joining an established team with strong Nursery & Area Managers supporting you in the role and with career progression.

Interviews are being held over the next week.

Duties

* Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development.

* Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

* Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.

* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

* Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.

* Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages children's growth.

* Manage behaviour positively, using appropriate techniques to guide children in their interactions.

Skills

* Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication.

* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.

* Knowledge of early childhood education principles will be an advantage.

* Strong leadership skills to manage activities and guide children's behaviour effectively.

* Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and colleagues.

* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

* Capability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and staff.
