The Opportunity

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Stores Team Leader to take ownership of materials and inventory management at a busy, fast-paced manufacturing site.

You'll be responsible for leading daily warehouse operations including receiving goods, stock control, kitting, picking, packing and shipping. The ideal candidate will bring a strong team mindset, great attention to detail, and a practical approach to solving problems and improving processes.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working on the shop floor, managing people, and keeping things running like clockwork.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee all materials movements and warehouse functions
  • Manage incoming goods, storage, picking, packing and despatch activities
  • Support team training and maintain skills matrix
  • Lead or support stock investigations and regular PI counts
  • Maintain live stock data via ERP systems
  • Support or write SOPs, process documentation and instructions
  • Encourage a clean, safe and well-organised working environment
  • Identify improvement areas and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Escalate HR or operational issues as needed
  • Maintain equipment and monitor regulatory compliance (e.g. FLT servicing)
  • Support health and safety practices, including use of PPE and manual handling

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or production environment
  • Comfortable leading small teams and working hands-on
  • Able to follow processes and promote continuous improvement
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Basic IT/ERP skills for stock data entry and reporting
  • Flexibility to work shifts or weekends if required in future
