Audit Semi-Senior

Join a highly respected accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire as a Semi Senior Auditor. Day-to-day of the role:

• Preparation of business accounts from client’s information.
• Completing general ledger operations and preparing journal entries.
• Preparing business tax computations and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Assisting with personal tax returns and running year-end closings.
• Maintaining in-house control procedures.
• Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of financial and management accounts.
• Preparing VAT returns and liaising with clients as required.
• Implementing and reviewing client bookkeeping systems.
• Traveling to clients across the region for on-site audits under the supervision of the Audit Manager.
• Performing administrative duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA part qualified or AAT qualified.
• 2-3 years of practice experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting packages such as IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, CCH, etc.
• Intermediate Excel/Word/Outlook capabilities.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to assist other areas of the business.
• Strong communication skills and a methodical work ethic.
