Project Manager - Construction / Main Contractor (New Build)

A growing and highly respected regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a new build commercial construction project in the Chepstow / North Bristol area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join a genuinely professional, collaborative and well-run construction business with a strong reputation across the South West and South Wales. The company has a positive team culture, supportive leadership and a strong pipeline of projects.

The initial project is a £3.5m new build gym and leisure facility, and the successful Project Manager will take full responsibility for delivery from early stages through to completion.

This role suits a Project Manager from a main contracting background who enjoys running projects properly — programming, coordinating teams, managing subcontractors and maintaining strong client relationships.

Project Manager - Responsibilities

* Delivering a £3.5m new build leisure development from start to completion

* Programming and managing the construction programme

* Client liaison and consultant coordination throughout the project lifecycle

* Managing Site Managers, subcontractors and project teams

* Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards

* Monitoring project performance and resolving delivery challenges

* Working closely with commercial teams to ensure projects remain profitable

Project Manager - Requirements

* Proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contractor

* Strong experience delivering new build commercial construction projects

* Ability to programme projects and manage delivery from pre-construction through to completion

* Strong client-facing skills and ability to build relationships with consultants and stakeholders

* Stable career history demonstrating good longevity

* Must currently live within approximately 60 minutes of the Chepstow / Bristol area
