About the Role:

Branta Recruitment are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a busy team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional to work across a variety of commercial sites in the North East of England. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning & refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on a range of air conditioning systems, including:

*

Split systems

*

VRV/VRF systems

*

Chillers

*

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.

*

Clean coils, replace filters, and perform general system upkeep to maximise efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.

*

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.

* Conduct inspections to identify system performance issues and recommend solutions.

*

Work alongside other engineers and subcontractors for complex installations or upgrades.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and F-Gas regulations.

Key Requirements:

*

F-Gas Category 1 certification.

*

Proven experience in a similar Air Conditioning Engineer role, ideally in a mobile/facilities management setting.

*

Must be able to service industrial cooling units.

*

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment.

*

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

*

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

*

Strong customer service and communication skills.

*

Full UK driving licence (essential).
