Planner / Senior Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing planning consultancy in their search for a Planner / Senior Planner to join their team in either the Birmingham or Cardiff office.

This consultancy provides expert planning services across a range of development sectors and has built a strong reputation for delivering clear, commercially focused planning advice. They are passionate about delivering excellent outcomes for their clients while also fostering a collaborative and enjoyable working environment for their team.

The Role

Due to sustained growth, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious Planner or Senior Planner with experience gained within a planning consultancy or local planning authority.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide variety of planning services, including:

Preparation and submission of planning applications
Managing pre-application enquiries
Securing lawful development certificates
Coordinating and managing planning appeals
Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use developmentsThe Candidate

MRTPI qualified, or working towards chartership
Previous experience in either a planning consultancy or local authority role
Strong project management skills and ability to deliver work to deadlines
Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
