My client is an international leading manufacturer of combined and heat and power plants (CHP) for the decentralised provision of power and heat.

Overview

* They're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil works, budget control, and engineering design review. They must possess excellent customer-facing skills, proficiency in project scheduling, and experience in successfully delivering Combined Heat and Power (CHP) projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring all objectives, deadlines, and budgets are met.

* Manage and coordinate staff, contractors, and subcontractors throughout project execution and commissioning.

* Evaluate designs to ensure feasibility, safety, and alignment with project goals.

* Act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication on milestones, risks, and progress.

* Collaborate with civil engineers to oversee site preparations, foundations, and infrastructure requirements.

* Monitor and control project budgets, proactively addressing potential financial risks.

* Develop and track project schedules using Microsoft Projects or similar tools to ensure timely delivery.

* Identify potential issues early and implement proactive solutions.

* Ensure all projects adhere to relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

* Tender & Quotation Support: Assist the sales team with tenders, quotes, and technical insights for new business opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

* Minimum 5+ years in Project Management, with a strong focus on CHP projects and a background in electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering

* Understanding of CHP systems and technologies.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Projects.

* Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design software (preferred).

* Knowledge of civil works, including foundations, site preparation, and construction.

* Experience in budget management, forecasting, and cost control.

* Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
