NJVC Company Job Title: AWS Systems Engineer Clearance: TS/SCI Location: Springfield, VA Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular Summary: NJVC is looking to hire an AWS Systems Engineer to work with/on a software deployment team. Asthe AWS Systems Engineer you willwork hand-in-hand with the Chief Architect (CA), Chief Engineer (CE),deployment Scrum Master, and the Program Management Leadership team to helpdesign and engineer the next generation desktop and web based production anddissemination system. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead systems engineering activities that support building anddelivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation,production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies.Perform basic and advanced processing tasks using ArcGIS and other products and extensionsBuild databases or data stores from imagery and cartographic/digital sources; support the development of GIS database designsReview, interpret, and utilize established production processesPerform map and web map production tasksAssist in the design and development of data automation, data migration, and database development projects within the Intelligence Community and Department of DefenseCoordinate workflow with project/technical managersOtherduties as assigned MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience OR Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience12 years’ experience may be used in lieu of degree requirements Experience with Amazon Web services (AWS)Experience across multiple System Engineering domains with a focus on standing up and maintaining cloud environments, and the deployment of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments with a Geospatial focusDoD IAT II 8570 cert requiredTS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities: Ability to obtain CI polgygraph Effective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think quicklyProficiency with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and related desktop extensionsEffective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think quicklyKnowledge of Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems; Python scripting; SQLFamiliarity with the geospatial domain and technologies (ArcGIS, WMS, WFS, KML).Understanding of SW development methodologies (Agile), Cost and work Estimation (Excel).
