Elevation Recruitment is working with a growing business in Chesterfield to recruit a highly skilled Financial Accountant on a temporary, three-month contract to support with year-end statutory accounts preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to make an immediate impact and work within a collaborative finance team.

• Prepare and review statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger balances and reconciliations.
• Review and post adjusting journal entries and accruals.
• Support the finance team with monthly management reporting and analysis as required.
• Maintain financial controls and support process improvement initiatives.

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and year-end procedures.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks within tight deadlines.
