Approach Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for the position of Regional Health, Safety & Environment Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced HSE professional to join a thriving construction business, working across their North Regeneration region, based out of the Doncaster office.

Reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director, the successful candidate will take a lead role in maintaining and promoting high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance across a variety of refurbishment and regional construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) through inspections and audits.

*

Foster a proactive safety culture focused on accident prevention, employee wellbeing, and environmental responsibility.

*

Ensure project sites and offices maintain up-to-date documentation, notices, certificates, and emergency procedures.

*

Conduct and report on regular HSE audits and inspections, presenting findings and recommendations to regional leadership.

*

Liaise with regulatory bodies and enforcing authorities as required.

*

Lead and chair regular regional HSE meetings to review performance and encourage continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

*

Proven background in health, safety, and environmental management within the construction industry—ideally with experience in housing refurbishment.

*

Relevant NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) and professional membership (e.g., IOSH).

*

Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.

*

An environmental qualification (e.g., IEMA) is highly desirable.

*

A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel across the North region is a key part of the role.

*

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to health and safety leadership.
