About the Company:
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and expanding passive fire protection and maintenance company based in Essex. The business works extensively across local authority and social housing portfolios, with a growing division focused on passive fire protection and compliance. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor to join their team.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed fire door and fire-stopping surveys across a variety of residential sites. You must have solid, hands-on experience and be fully competent in working within BM TRADA and FIRAS frameworks. This is a critical role in ensuring client buildings remain fully compliant with the latest fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out comprehensive passive fire surveys, including fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation

*

Produce detailed and accurate survey reports in line with BM TRADA/FIRAS standards

*

Identify non-compliant installations and provide clear recommendations for remedial works

*

Support project teams in delivering compliant passive fire protection works

*

Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation and best practice

*

Communicate effectively with clients, tenants, and internal teams

*

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure ongoing compliance

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Passive Fire Surveyor within social housing or similar environments

*

In-depth knowledge and experience working under BM TRADA and FIRAS certification schemes

*

Excellent understanding of fire safety regulations, fire compartmentation, and fire door inspections

*

Ability to write clear and concise reports and recommendations

*

High attention to detail and a methodical approach

*

Strong communication skills and a professional manner

*

Full UK driving licence required as travelling is required

Desirable Qualifications:

*

BM TRADA or FIRAS accredited training/certification

*

Additional fire safety or health & safety certifications
