Non-Executive Directors
Ordnance Survey seeks to appoint two Non-Executive Directors with either senior commercial experience within a data, technology or digital company, or expertise in people-related best practices, ideally with prior experience as a Remuneration Committee Chair or member. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in and add value to a significant national asset.

Ordnance Survey maintains the National Map, a vast database of over 600 million Geospatial features, updated 20,000 times a day.
The expertise in location intelligence helps businesses, government and communities make smarter decisions, whether planning sustainable cities, managing climate risks or improving connectivity. It is a pivotal time for the Organisation, undergoing transformation and building its capabilities to continue growing its impact on building a better Britain.
About You
The ideal candidates will have:
Strong interpersonal skills, able to build trusted, collegiate relationships with the Board and Executive team and provide constructive challenge that supports Ordnance Survey's success.
They will think strategically, set clear direction and communicate with clarity and authority to influence a broad range of stakeholders.
They should bring an understanding of operating within a regulated or public sector context.
They will demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, scaled organisation, leveraging technology innovation and data capabilities to support growth and impact.
An ability to recognise and develop the organisation's potential as a data-led, commercially minded enterprise, combined with sound judgement and strong organisational awareness, will be important.
Serving executives will be considered, subject to being able to commit the necessary time to the role.
Previous experience as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of a commercial organisation is desirable in at least one of the appointments.
