A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Barnet is looking to appoint a part-time PPA Teacher from January 2026. This is a well-regarded, one-form entry school with a strong community feel and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.

As the PPA Teacher, you will teach across KS1 and KS2, providing high-quality cover during teachers' planning, preparation and assessment time. Planning requirements are minimal, but you will be expected to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support the school's curriculum aims.

About the Role

Teach across KS1 and KS2 to cover PPA sessions

Deliver well-prepared and engaging lessons

Use effective behaviour management strategies

Work closely with classroom support staff

Adapt materials to meet the needs of different learners

Attend relevant meetings on your working days

Requirements

UK-recognised QTS

Good knowledge of the primary curriculum (KS1 & KS2)

A positive, adaptable and committed approach

Confidence teaching across a range of year groups

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Available part-time from January 2026
