Warehouse Operative – 8-Week Temporary Contract

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join a friendly and well-organised team in Kidlington. This is an 8-week temporary role with full training provided. The position involves goods receiving, inventory control, order picking, and maintaining a safe and tidy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Goods receiving: Checking deliveries and recording all incoming goods accurately using an MRP system (full training provided).
• Inventory management: Storing components in the correct allocated locations and maintaining stock accuracy.
• Goods out: Picking items to kit lists or fulfilling individual requests and recording dispatches through the MRP system.
• Stock control: Supporting routine stock-takes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Warehouse upkeep: Ensuring the warehouse area is kept clean, organised, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
• Additional duties: Supporting the operations team with general warehouse tasks when required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Confidence using IT systems (training on MRP will be provided).
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A forklift truck licence would be advantageous but not required.
