Under the direction of the DGIT Sr. Manager, Service Delivery the Business Relationship Manager (BRM)'s primary role is to stimulate, surface, and shape the Schools' demand for DGIT's services while ensuring that the potential business value from those services is captured, organized, and recognized. The BRM develops a set of competencies that foster a productive, value-producing relationships between DGIT and the Schools. The BRM ensures that assigned customers are receiving IT services as specified in the Department/DGIT Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The BRM works as the strategic interface to assigned departments in the School of Medicine for the purpose of business IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, value management, and relationship management. The BRM will provide support and guidance throughout key DGIT initiatives and ensure that the core services provided by DGIT are clearly communicated to the customer and successfully implemented. The BRM will promote DGIT's vision, values, services, and capabilities. The BRM will work closely with DGIT service providers to ensure that the customer's needs are met by securing, persuading and influencing desired outcomes. Additionally, the BRM will provide project management (PM) support for a wide range of services offered to the customer as needed.
