The head of a client PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) Based in Wokingham is looking for an experienced, versatile PRU teacher with the ability to teach the core GCSE's to join their faculty from the summer term. The successful candidate must be willing to go into the school to get to know the staff and get familiar with the curriculum beforehand.
The pupils that attend the school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be a well-rounded teacher with good knowledge across all aspects taught at GCSE level. The work will be set and taught almost like a primary setting with small numbers per class but teaching your specific subject I.E English, Art, Maths is desired. The role is full time and will initially be trialled in June. The school are looking to take the teacher onto a permanent contract should they perform well in the role.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a challenging environment and will be able to display excellent behavioural management.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
