This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager in the FMCG industry to lead and enhance quality assurance processes within a food manufacturing environment. The role is based in Shropshire and requires a professional with a strong understanding of quality management systems and standards.

The organisation operates within the FMCG sector and specialises in Food Manufacturing. As a growing company, they focus on high-quality production and delivering exceptional standards to their clients.

Description

On-site Quality Assurance, from incoming raw materials to finished product.
The development and continuous improvement and implementation of all sections of BRC and HACCP
Lead and manage factory inspections to ensure GMP is developed by cross functional teamwork.
Ensure all employees on site understand the importance of following the Food Safety and Quality Systems.
Ensure all micro/chemical and nutritional testing is completed as per schedule.
Monitor departmental KPI's and challenge where required to ensure targets are achieved and improved.
Lead BRC and relevant customer site visits and audits.
Management of Non-conformance and hold procedure ensuring effective close out.
Product release.
Management of Complaint investigation ensuring root cause analysis is carried out.
HACCP team Leader.
Work with Managers to understand the training needs of their team in-line with BRC and customer requirements.
Assisting NPD with Technical support
Attend the weekly meeting to represent the technical function and communicate performance and highlight areas for improvement.
Actively manage shelf life to ensure the customer receives the maximum shelf life where shelf-life data allows.
Working closely with the commercial team to ensure customer communications are aligned.
Carry out monthly finished hygiene audits.
Undertake any other ad hoc duties which may be required from time to timeMonday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Profile

You will be an experienced Quality Manager/Leader, with experience working in a food manufacturing environment along with:

Experience in BRC and QMS.
Experienced dealing with audits, visits and EHO.
Can demonstrate a proven track record in improving Food Quality and Food Safety.
Excellent people management skills
Have a 'can-do' attitude
Be customer focused
Be commercially aware
HACCP level 3 minimum - level 4 desirable
