Social Worker - Locality Team

Location: Bristol, UK (Office-Based with Home Flexibility)

Salary: Up to £48 per hour

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team. This role involves managing a caseload primarily focused on Child In Need and Child Protection work. While offering the flexibility of two days working from home, this position requires three days office-based work, allowing for effective response to emergencies and access to necessary support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload within eligibility criteria, prioritizing service delivery and utilizing available resources effectively.

  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct assessments and take responsible actions in situations where a service user's safety is at risk, adhering to safeguarding policies and relevant legislation.

  • Resource Utilization: Advise on and facilitate the creative use of universal and community resources, including assistive technology, to support service users effectively.

  • Supervision and Development: Contribute to the development and supervision of social care workers, providing student supervision as required based on experience and position.

  • Specialized Skills: Concentrate on specific areas of work requiring developed skills, such as promoting the Signs of Safety methodology.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Demonstrated competence and experience in Child In Need and Child Protection work.

  • Ability to work effectively within legislative frameworks and uphold professional standards.

  • Strong communication skills, ensuring information shared with service users and professionals is accurate and appropriate.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional capabilities frameworks.
