Support Workers needed at integrated day services.

Hours Negotiable - but full-time role

Key Skills Requirements

* Significant experience of work in the Adult care sector caring for people with complex Learning disabilities or older people (e.g: Residential care, Homecare, Supported Living

* Health and Social Care NVQ L2/3 - Desirable

* Must be trained in Moving and handling

* Dementia Awareness Training

* Safeguarding: the worker has a good understanding of the purpose of safeguarding and knows the importance of maintaining safe practise and how to report concerns

* Caring and supporting people and be able to demonstrate that you have the correct skills and values to support people with complex needs

* Good communication skills

* Basic IT skills/recording

Terms of Appointment

* References Required

* Enhanced DBS required as the role has direct access to adults with care and support needs

Hourly rate - £13.50 - £14.50 per hour depending on skills and experience

Number of days per week - 5 days per week - 08.30AM - 5PM (some flexibility can be negotiated)

Contract duration - 6 months (subject to 3 and 6 monthly reviews with the possibility of further extension)

Role will be fully on site

The Support Workers will be working within Calderdale Council's Integrated Day Services. In central Halifax and/or in Rastrick, Brighouse. The Day Services operate Monday-Friday - 08:30am - 5pm. Rastrick site - HD6 3LD

These roles will support the day-to-day operation of the integrated day services teams and help to maintain safe staffing levels whilst the service is undergoing a review
