We are currently recruiting for aKS2 Class Teacher to join a thriving, inclusive and ambitious Church of England primary school.

This is a growing and successful school with a strong reputation in its local community. The school serves a diverse intake and is proud of its inclusive, relational culture. Following a recent Good Ofsted judgement, alongside Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence status and Voice 21 accreditation, the school is entering an exciting phase of sustained growth.

The Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-organised classroom environment
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
• Provide clear feedback to support pupils in taking ownership of their learning
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
• Promote pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers
• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school

Additional Responsibilities (Middle Leadership Progression Opportunity):

• Lead a core subject or foundation subject area (for the right candidate)
• Support whole-school improvement priorities
• Contribute to curriculum development and staff development
• Work towards leadership responsibility with support and CPD over time
• TLR opportunities may be available for candidates with experience or ambition

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in KS2 (EYFS/KS1 experience also welcome)
• ECTs/ECT+1 candidates are encouraged to apply
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and assessment practices
• Evidence of high-quality classroom practice and pupil progress
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A passion for developing the whole child, not just academic outcomes
• A positive, enthusiastic and resilient approach
• Ability to build strong, supportive relationships across the school community
• Interest in contributing to the values and ethos of a Church of England school
• Experience with phonics or mastery approaches (desirable depending on phase)
• Ambition to progress into subject leadership
