About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy warehouse operation in Wakefield. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring all goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve KPIs and service levels.
• Monitor stock accuracy and support regular cycle counts and stock checks.
• Ensure all health & safety standards and company policies are strictly adhered to.
• Allocate workloads, manage shift planning, and provide clear communication to staff.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Liaise with transport, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Report on performance metrics and escalate issues to management where necessary.

Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role (essential).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work different shifts if required.
