A partnered secondary school of Teaching Personnel which is situated in the inner-city area of central Manchester is looking to recruit a teaching assistant to start with them following the February half term/Easter. The successful teaching assistant is required for the remainder of the academic year. The role of the teaching assistant will be to support in a variety of capacities within the school including supporting students in lessons, assisting any students who are identified as having SEN and supporting those who have English as an additional language. There may also be an element of covering lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher as a cover supervisor from March onwards if applicable and relevant.
This role will suit an individual with prior experience of supporting within a secondary school environment as a teaching assistant, behaviour mentor, learner mentor or cover supervisor.
