Brownlee Cale are seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee and coordinate design activities on a variety of construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.

*

Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and external design consultants to coordinate technical information.

*

Review design drawings and specifications for buildability, compliance, and value engineering.

*

Chair design meetings, prepare design schedules, and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Ensure designs meet CDM regulations and planning/building control requirements.

*

Identify and resolve design-related issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry (residential, commercial, or industrial projects).

*

Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and construction methodologies.

*

Ability to manage multiple design packages and interface with stakeholders across disciplines.

*

Proficiency with design and document management software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, etc.).

*

HNC/HNC/ Degree in Build or Construction
