Asset Manager (Operational Asset Management)

Location: Berkshire, Hybrid

Rate: £#removed# per day

Contract: 3-months minimum

Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Asset Manager to lead operational asset management across a diverse council land and buildings portfolio, driving proactive initiatives that generate revenue and capital receipts.

You'll handle key transactions and provide expert property advice to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic objectives through strong commercial judgement and delivery.

Responsibilities include

• Driving value-add asset management initiatives across a mixed portfolio

• Leading on acquisitions/disposals, due diligence and property transactions

• Negotiating Heads of Terms, lease renewals, and rent reviews

• Producing options appraisals to support acquisition, disposal and investment decisions

• Supporting surveys/valuations and preparing clear, decision-ready reports

• Maintaining the Asset Management System and producing management information

About You

• Strong asset management background (ideally local authority/public sector)

• RICS Membership

• Confident across L&T, negotiations and transactional property work

• Able to deliver options appraisals and provide robust, defensible advice

• Comfortable working with senior officers and members
