Are you a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of pupils? We are currently working with a specialist provision in Stoke-on-Trent that supports pupils with SEMH needs, and they are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

About the School:

This is a nurturing school that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced significant barriers to learning in mainstream education. The school provides tailored learning for students aged 7-14 (KS2-KS3), focusing on emotional wellbeing, consistency, and holistic development alongside academic progress.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive, well-resourced environment that focuses on small class sizes and tailored learning pathways for pupils who may have experienced challenges in mainstream settings.

Your Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to pupils in KS2 and KS3

*

Support students with complex SEMH needs in developing both academic and personal progress

*

Work closely with support staff and SEN professionals to create a nurturing classroom environment

*

Use behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and structured learning space

Requirements:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

DBS on the update service

*

Experience teaching Maths at KS2 or KS3 level

*

A good understanding of SEMH and/or experience in specialist provisions is a bonus

*

Strong behaviour management skills and a trauma-informed approach

*

A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and helping them succeed
