Unified Communications Engineer/Consultant - 24 months - Market Rate - Remote (Must be mobile)

We are seeking a hands-on Unified Communications Engineer to support secure enterprise voice, video, and collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams) within the Public Sector. You will work with a team decommissioning current infrastructure, whilst working on the transformation to new kit and way of working. This will involve multi sites across the UK and is a long term upgrade project. Experience within the Public Sector would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Decommission existing Unified Comms
Support and maintain enterprise voice and video platforms
Manage video conferencing and room-based collaboration systems
Maintain underlying network, server, and storage infrastructure
Support partner connectivity across various UK sites
Perform hardware installation and configuration
Contribute to monitoring, automation, and operational tooling

Core Technical Skills

Unified Communications

Experience of UCAAS (Multivendor)
Lynx, Skype4business, PBX space Legacy
SIP protocol knowledge
Integration with Microsoft 365/TeamsVideo Collaboration

Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms
Understanding of cross-platform interoperabilityNetwork Infrastructure

LAN/WAN fundamentals
QoS for voice and video traffic
VLANs and IP Addressing
