A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take on more responsibility within a supportive and technically strong environment.

The role will involve working across a range of infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments throughout the UK, supporting projects from initial site investigation through to detailed design and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and delivering geotechnical and ground investigation projects

• Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports

• Geotechnical design including foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks

• Supervising site investigations including logging soil and rock in accordance with BS 5930

• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their technical development

• Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams

• Contributing to proposals, tenders, and project planning

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline

• Around 5-8 years' experience within geotechnical or ground engineering consultancy

• Strong report writing and interpretation skills

• Experience with foundation design and geotechnical assessments

• Working knowledge of UK standards including Eurocode 7

• Ideally working towards ICE or Geological Society of London chartership
