CNC Machinist - Milling

  • Salary up to £35,226 per annum, depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week with flexitime and an early finish on Fridays

The CNC Machinist - Milling Role

You'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, with a particular focus on Doosan HM630 and Trevisan 31i machinery. The role will involve setting machines accurately right first time, carrying out self-inspection to maintain quality standards, and working in line with Standard Operating Procedures.

You'll also be expected to contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing improvements to existing machining techniques. Alongside this, you'll support apprentices within the team and carry out other tasks in line with your skills and experience where needed.

CNC Machinist - Milling Essential Skills

  • Proven CNC machining experience
  • Ability to programme using Fanuc
  • Experience setting and operating CNC milling machinery
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 compliance
  • Understanding of 5S methodology
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and timekeeping
  • Positive, team-focused approach
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Committed to continuous improvement
