Are you passionate about food innovation and looking to step into the world of new product development? A fast-growing food manufacturer in Suffolk is seeking a Junior Development Chef to join their creative and collaborative NPD team.

In this exciting role, you'll work alongside a talented Development Chef and report to the Head of NPD. You'll help bring new food concepts to life - from marinades and sauces to spice blends - for a wide range of customers in the retail and foodservice sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development of innovative new food products to customer briefs

*

Collaborate with sales, technical, and production teams to ensure project success

*

Support kitchen trials, tastings, and factory scale-ups

*

Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the development kitchen

*

Participate in customer presentations, both on and off site

*

Take ownership of your own development briefs after an initial training period

About You

*

1-2 years of experience in a foodservice, catering, or restaurant environment

*

Culinary flair and a keen interest in food development - ideally with chef training

*

Strong understanding of ingredients, especially herbs and spices

*

Great communication skills and the confidence to work directly with customers

*

Organised, proactive, and a team player who's ready to learn

*

IT literate (Microsoft Office) and holds a valid full UK driving licence
