Supply Teacher

Salary: £130 - £200 per day (Any long-term placements are paid to scale - from M1 to UP3)

Start Date: September 2025 

Location: Hull

GSL Education Hull are currently recruiting a number of Supply Teachers for an exceptional Academy Trust that has Secondary Schools, located in the Hull and the surrounding areas.

Early Career Teachers (ECT) are encouraged to apply.

You will be delivering pre-planned lessons to ensure pupils progress and effective classroom management will be key to ensuring pupils complete all tasks within the lesson in the absence of the classroom teacher. A flexible approach and use of initiative will be necessary as you may be expected to cover subjects outside of your specialism.

To be successful as a Supply Teacher, you must:

Be confident in your approach to managing behaviour.
Be a strong communicator with staff and students alike.
Be able to provide two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
