Electrical Design Engineer - Pontefract

Adept Resourcing is partnering with an organisation based in Pontefract, on the lookout for an Electrical Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for modular enclosures and power equipment

* Produce wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and technical documentation compliant with industry standards

* Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless design integration

* Apply knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and other relevant electrical standards

* Review and update designs based on client specifications and project requirements

* Support continuous improvement initiatives and design optimisation to enhance product performance and manufacturability

* Participate in design reviews, quality checks, and compliance audits

Requirements:

* Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within power generation, switchgear, or industrial enclosure sectors

* Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)

* Understanding of electrical wiring regulations and standards (BS 7671 or equivalent)

* Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and documentation

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred

Working Hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm (Early finish on Friday)

* 40 hours per week

* Business closed on Bank Holidays and during the Christmas/New Year period
