Learning Support Practitioner

Location: Folkestone College, Kent

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Hours: Full - Time, 35 hours per week (8:30am till 16:00pm)

Contract: Temporary to Ongoing

About the Role and Client:

Our client, is seeking an experienced Learning Support Practitioner to join their Inclusive Learning team. You'll provide in-class and 1:1 support for learners with a range of complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, under the guidance of the class tutor.

Responsibilities:

* Support academic and social development in class.

* Provide 1:1 assistance and personal care where required.

* Monitor behaviour and encourage positive engagement.

* Work collaboratively with tutors and the wider support team.

* Ensure safeguarding and safety standards are maintained.

Candidate Requirements:

* Experience in SEN or care settings supporting young people with complex needs.

* Ability to provide personal care (no manual handling required).

* Flexible and empathetic approach.

* Enhanced DBS for child and adult workforce within the last three years (can start while DBS is in process under supervision).
