Senior JavaScript Developer (Contract) Manchester
Rate: £450-£500/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid Manchester-based (3 days onsite fixed)
Length: 6 months

We're hiring for a senior-level Full Stack JavaScript Contractor to support the buildout of core financial systems for a Manchester-based fintech scale-up that's just secured Series B funding. You'll be part of a small, high-performing engineering team solving problems that genuinely move the dial from payments architecture and KYC workflows to scalable internal dashboards and API integrations with third parties.

Due to the cooperative nature of this role, you'll be working closely with stakeholders, product, and design teams on-site in Manchester 3 days a week.

Tech Stack:

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js

• APIs: REST, GraphQL

• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis

• Authentication & Security: OAuth2, JWT

• Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS), Docker

• DevOps & Tooling: GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Jira

• Testing: Jest, Cypress, Playwright
