A Good secondary school in Darlington is seeking a passionate, adaptable, and skilled Teacher of Spanish to join their Modern Foreign Languages department on a full-time maternity cover from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for language learning, cultural awareness, and confident communication skills.

Role Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Teach across KS3 and KS4, covering key linguistic skills including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages student confidence and progression.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support or challenge.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear, constructive feedback to support attainment.
Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations, ensuring they feel well-prepared and supported.
Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and the broader improvement of the MFL department.
Support enrichment activities where possible, such as language clubs, cultural events, or international-themed activities.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Spanish at KS3-KS4.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to bring the Spanish language and culture to life.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills, with a commitment to raising achievement.About Us
