Tutor / Intervention - English & Maths (GCSE / Functional Skills)

This role is about more than delivering lessons. It's about helping learners reconnect with education and build the confidence they need to move forward.

We are recruiting a Tutor / Intervention Specialist to support pupils who have fallen behind or disengaged from mainstream education, delivering English and Maths at GCSE and Functional Skills level within specialist and alternative settings.

The role

Deliver 1:1 and small-group intervention in English and Maths

*

Support learners with SEN, SEMH, or other barriers to learning

*

Rebuild confidence, routine, and engagement with education

*

Work in calm, structured environments focused on progress and reintegration

*

Part-day and morning availability welcomed (e.g. 10am-12pm)

The ideal candidate

Experience tutoring English and/or Maths

*

Comfortable supporting learners who need a patient, flexible approach

*

Confident in specialist, PRU, or alternative provision settings

*

Calm, encouraging, and focused on individual progress
