The Role:
A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate shop floor activities. This is a hands-on role focused on driving performance, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, organise and support production teams to meet daily output targets

* Plan and coordinate shop floor activities in line with production schedules

* Ensure all customer orders are completed on time and to required standards

* Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements

* Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping (5S)

* Ensure all staff are working to SOPs, drawings and quality requirements

* Manage team performance, including attendance, timekeeping and holidays

* Support training and development of staff to improve flexibility across departments

* Manage overtime requirements in line with production needs

* Work closely with other departments (production, engineering, quality, stores)

* Drive continuous improvement and support KPI delivery

The Candidate

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role

Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach

Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Good understanding of production planning and workflow management

Knowledge of continuous improvement / lean manufacturing principles

Strong communication skills across all levels

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Proactive, organised and team-focused

The Salary
£30,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
