Gifford and Partners have been appointed to lead the process on acquiring a new No2/Financial Controller in finance for a privately owned fast growth Supply Chain and Distribution business in Leeds. With organic growth pushing upwards of 40% year on year, and now securing new contracts that will further enhance growth this is not only an interesting and change hungry business but also a broad and varied Financial Controller position joining a business going through very exciting times. Working closely with the board and Finance Director, this role will be pivotal in providing transparency of the numbers whilst working hand in hand with the wider business and cost centre leads on budgets, cost and KPI reporting. Responsibilities will include and not be limited to;

• Production and review of Monthly Management Accounting
• Budgeting and forecasting including variance and commentary reporting for the board
• Balance Sheet and helping to produce corporate tax returns and quarter VAT reporting including inter company transactions
• Production of board pack submissions
• Managing the day to day transactions team
• Ad-hoc projects that support strategic and operational goals

Ideally this role is targeting someone with SME exposure ideally with past exposure to supply chain, distruibution or manaufacturing. They will likely qualified ACCA/ACMA/ACA with a hunger and desire to one day push to become part of the board team.
