Zenith People is proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturer in their search for a Mechanical Biased Shift Maintenance Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fully automated production environment, where your expertise will be vital in maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.

Shift Pattern

This role follows a continental shift pattern, alternating between day and night shifts:

• Cycle: 4-week rotation averaging 42 hours per week
• Enjoy every other weekend off!

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and facility equipment. Your duties will include:

• Performing routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives with the engineering team
• Accurately documenting all maintenance activities using CMMS
• Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety protocols
• Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior technicians
• Troubleshooting electrical issues affecting production efficiency
• Collaborating with the projects team to enhance control systems

Required Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a time-served technician with a strong mechanical bias and proven experience in high-volume manufacturing. You should have:

• A completed apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Expertise in fault finding, preventative and reactive maintenance
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic machinery
• Background in fast-paced, automated production environments
