GSL Education are seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a well-regarded school in Eastbourne, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fulfilling role for someone passionate about inclusive education and ready to contribute positively to students' progress and well-being.

Role Overview:
As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver tailored interventions, provide classroom cover, and support pupils with a range of learning needs. Your role will involve promoting inclusion and ensuring all children can access the curriculum fully.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
Work with individuals or small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
Cover classes when required, maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.
Monitor and record children's progress, liaising with teachers and SENCO.
Foster independence, resilience, and engagement in learning.
Candidate Requirements:

Hold Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status or equivalent.
Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary setting.
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and inclusion strategies.
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
