Salary: £80 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

Academics Ltd are currently recruiting for a confident and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Keynsham, to start in September. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative team dedicated to creating a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive.

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers while also delivering lessons independently when required.

The Role - Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils
• Deliver planned lessons and cover classes in the absence of the teacher
• Support pupils with varying learning needs to maximise progress
• Monitor student development and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
• Plan and deliver learning or enrichment activities where appropriate

What We're Looking For

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience (essential)
• HLTA status or equivalent classroom experience desirable
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confidence leading small groups and whole-class sessions
• A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach
