The Job You’ll Do;
- As a skilled and dynamic Design Technician you will bridge the design intent with the manufacturability and execution of the solution.
- Complete basic CAD tasks and modifications to existing designs
- Understand manufacturing constraints and assist with determining manufacturing feasibility
- Manage your assigned workload with multiple projects running concurrently
- Liaise with design engineers to ensure the information produced represents engineering design and intent.
- Participate in design reviews, site meetings, and technical discussions to gain experience
- Provide support to sales and estimation roles
- Produce general arrangement drawings, section details, and connection designs
- Utilize AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, TEDDS, and Microsoft 365 for task execution (or equivalents of these packages).
- Contribute to standardization efforts
About You;
- HNC or above in a related subject such as design, engineering, manufacturing, etc. (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks (or equivalent)
- Understanding of design, engineering and manufacturing processes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, capable of handling concurrent projects.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information to non-technical stakeholders
