What you will do
  • Identify and implement opportunities for safe and effective single-handed care solutions tailored to individual service users.

  • Assess moving and handling needs and recommend appropriate assistive equipment, including hoists, slide sheets, and transfer aids.

  • Deliver training to staff on safe moving and handling techniques and single-handed care approaches.

  • Monitor outcomes to ensure quality, safety, and service user satisfaction, adjusting plans where necessary.

  • Contribute to risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe discharge planning and community care.

About you
  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.

  • Experience within moving and handling, manual handling assessment, or community occupational therapy.

  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and single-handed care principles.

  • Confident delivering training to staff and promoting best practice.

  • Full UK driving licence, enabling travel across Hackney to deliver services.
