Job Description

 

The Sr. Capital Markets Manager will play a critical role to optimize the capital structure and liquidity, which is a key activity for the company given approximately $30B debt outstanding. This role will execute financing strategies and transactions, including debt, equity and alternative financing structures.  The ideal candidate will strategically analyze the pros and cons of various financing strategies and make recommendations to the Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer to support the achievement of company financial objectives.  There will be regular interface with other functional areas of Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Legal.  

 

Qualifications

 

•Candidates should have a minimum of 7+ years total experience, out of which at least 4 years should be in a related capital markets background at a frequent issuing corporation and/or a financial institution. Requirements include having a pattern of an accelerated understanding of Capital Markets, SEC regulations, Option Price Modelling along with examples of successful deliveries and outcomes within strict compliance guidelines. 

 

•7+ years total experience, out of which at least 4 years specific capital markets experience at a public corporation or an investment bank

•Possess strong financial modeling skills

•Ability to gather and analyze feasibility of financial data, and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

•Strong background in bank negotiations, debt compliance and credit rating agency models is required

•Sound and proven Knowledge of finance, legal, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

•Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

•CTP/CCM and CFA designation are a plus

 

•Confident expertise of Bloomberg is a must.

 

•Experience in the wireless, utility, or financial industries is preferred

•Ensure compliance with debt covenants in various debt agreements.

 

•Develop pricing, terms and conditions of transactions with financial institutions.  Responsible for financial contract drafting for financial products.

 

•Design and run credit rating models to support senior management business decisions.

 

•Create and update debt investor and rating agency presentations.

 

•Prepare economic and financial analyses of markets, industry, and peers for Treasurer’s presentations to the Board of Directors.  Make recommendations as appropriate. 

 

•Support preparation of monthly and quarterly closings and SEC filings including 10Q and 10K filing, communicating with
